Here are some of the most important features of Macbook Air. First of all, this laptop features a 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, it also has a 2GB of RAM, and you will be able to choose whether you want an 80GB standard 1.8-inch hard drive or a 64GB SSD drive. This will bring some change in the overall price. So, the basic model will cost around US$1,799 and an upgraded model will cost around US$3,098. The MacBook Air has a Bluetooth and wireless networking. Other important feature of Macbook Air is the multitouch track pad. Here, the users can zoom by pinching in or out, rotate images by spinning two fingers, etc. A nice touch represents the Air’s backlit keyboard. Macbook Air has an iSight camera on top of the screen. Connections of this laptop include a USB 2.0 port, 45-Watt MagSafe power adaptor, headphone port and micro-DVI port. What this laptop is missing is a SD card slot, Express card slot, onboard Ethernet jack and FireWire.
When comparing Macbook Pro vs Macbook Air we can easily come to a conclusion that the pro model is around 1 inch thick, while the MacBook Air is essentially three-quarters of an inch thick.
The Macbook Air is also environmentally friendly. Apple has eliminated, in the process of creation of this laptop, all the mercury parts, arsenic parts and PVCs.

If this is something for what you are willing to give more money, that is OK. But, the Macbook Pro offers many things that the Air model doesn’t have – SD card slot, Express card slot, onboard Ethernet jack and FireWire.
Next, the Macbook pro has a much faster processor. Since the Macbook Air is so thin, this limits its space and heat issues as well. In the end, comparing Macbook Pro vs Macbook Air, the conclusion is that with the Macbook Air you will lose on quality, but you will pay more for a smaller size.
